For the show FearGear at Roebling Hall, curators Euridice Arratia and Elizabeth Beer invited artist Sissal Tolaas to contribute a scent based piece. Having recently created the Re_search Lab in Berlin, Tolass invented three “Fear" scents which were then embedded in paint on one of the gallery walls, the smell was activated by touch. Brian Janusiak designed a series of free posters with fear related phrases to accompany the piece since it was affectively invisible. Various Projects then hired a professional "wheat paster" to plaster the city with as many Fear posters as their $500 budget allowed.
